Centennial Protection Group officer helps citizen with flat tire and later saves their life.

At approximately 6:30 pm, CPG Officer Mary Hopp was conducting routine patrol in a Glen Burnie shopping center when she stopped to assist a citizen who had a flat tire. The citizen advised they were waiting for assistance.

Later, at approximately 9:35 pm, Officer Hopp noticed the vehicle was still there. Thinking there may be a problem, she checked on the citizen. She quickly noticed that the driver was slouched in the vehicle with the doors locked and was unconscious not responding to hard knocks on the window.

Officer Hopp immediatley called 911 for medical assistance. The medics arrived and transported the driver to a local hospital. It was later determined that the driver was suffering from an extremely low blood sugar level.

Due to the thorough and swift actions by Officer Mary Hopp, the driver was given proper care and expected to recover.
